350 school children off to a good start
For the third time already, we organised our biennial benefit “FRIENDS FOR VIETNAMESE KIDS”.
The result of the 2018 edition is impressive: a profit of €4200. Further boosted by € 1621 from local sympathisers. Good to support 350 schoolchildren from Huong Huu primary school in Son Dong District in Bac Giang province. Thanks to your financial, practical, organisational or operational support, they can still start or continue their education.
As promised, every euro was well spent so that the children got exactly what they needed to start the new school year. Meanwhile, the local volunteer team in Vietnam did its job (buying materials, distributing, etc.). You can find the photo report of our actions on location here on the site.
A special thanks to all Vietnamese and Belgian volunteers who rolled up their sleeves unconditionally before, during and after the benefit. Without their hard work, the benefit would never have been a success. Thank you Quyên, the Vietnamese novices (?) and the Thuy Phap team for their special demonstrations.
And of course special kudos (?) to all participants, partners and sponsors.
Also to those who could not be there the day itself, but still generously contributed a heartfelt thank you. It proves that your hearts are in the right place. You made the list of ‘Friends for Vietnamese Kids’ extra long. And it can still get longer… So, anyone who would like to share any ideas about possible future support initiatives… just let us know.
‘Friends for Vietnamese Kids’ grew from an idea into a project of all of us. And that was and is only possible thanks to your help and support.
